Orange-Marzipan Pralines

These Orange-Marzipan Pralines offer a delightful taste experience! The delicate blend of smooth marzipan, fresh orange, and a touch of Cointreau, all wrapped in rich dark chocolate, is truly irresistible. Quick and easy to make, these pralines are not only a treat for the taste buds but also make for a perfect homemade gift.  

Ingredients you will need for this recipe:
  • 200 g marzipan
  • zest & juice of 1 organic orange
  • 1 tablespoon Cointreau (orange liqueur)
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • whole walnuts for decoration

How to make Orange-Marzipan Pralines:

(1) Marzipan Mixture

Cut marzipan into small pieces and place it in a bowl.

Finely grate the zest of the organic orange and add it to the marzipan. Add the juice of the orange and the Cointreau.

Mix everything well until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

(2) Shaping the Pralines

Shape the marzipan mixture into small balls, flatten them slightly and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Chop the dark chocolate and melt it over a water bath. Coat the marzipan balls with the melted chocolate and place them on parchment paper.

(3) Decorate the Pralines

Decorate each praline with a whole walnut while the chocolate is still soft.

Let the chocolate coatings set, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Once the chocolate is firm, the pralines are ready to be enjoyed!

Some Recipe Tips:

Storage: When stored in an airtight container, the Orange-Marzipan Pralines can be kept for up to 2 weeks. If stored in the refrigerator, the shelf life can be extended to up to 1 month.
