These Cinnamon Sugar Apple Rings Wrapped in Puff Pastry are the perfect fall dessert. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create crispy, sweet apple rings that are ideal for cozy autumn days. Easy to make and absolutely delicious, especially when served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:
- 1-2 apples
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- egg wash | 1 egg, beaten with a little milk
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons sugar

Directions:

(1) Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
(2) Prepare the Ingredients:
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar. In another bowl, whisk the egg with a little milk. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into strips about 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide. Peel the apples if desired, remove the cores, and slice them into rings about 1 cm (0.4 inches) thick.
(3) Wrap the Apple Rings:
Dip the apple rings into the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated. Then wrap 1-2 strips of puff pastry around each apple ring, overlapping slightly.
(4) Brush and Sprinkle:
Place the wrapped apple rings on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them with the egg mixture and generously sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
(5) Bake & Serve:
Bake the apple rings for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and crispy. Let them cool slightly. For an extra touch, you can sprinkle a bit of powdered sugar on top. Serve warm – a scoop of vanilla ice cream is a perfect complement!

Some Recipe Tips:
Choose the Right Apples: Use apples that are firm and not too juicy, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp. They hold their shape well and won’t make the pastry soggy.
Chill the Puff Pastry: If your puff pastry is too warm or soft, it can be difficult to work with. Keep it chilled until you’re ready to use it for better handling and crispier results.
Storage: These apple rings are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat them in the oven to regain some crispiness.
